LUCIBUS - F.A.Q.

0. I cannot connect inverter to usb of my pc. Watchpower, instead, works fine via USB

If your pc has not a serial port, you need to buy an adaptor.

I tried a lot of adaptor and the this is best. It works with WIN10 too :

This adaptor has a cheap price and remove big problem about drivers and program freeze

I have two of these and are working fine from march of 2016

1. When I install LUCIBUS, I get the following error code: UNABLE TO REGISTER MSHFLXGD.OCX

During installation the following is displayed:

complete the installation and REPEAT IT again using the same parameters inserted in the previous one.

2. After starting Lucibus, I get the following ERROR 13

When program starts, the following message appears:

It means that you have selected an incorrect serial port.
To configure the correct one, access LUCIBUS SETUP panel and select appropriate menu

3. The inverter works with WATCHPOWER but not with LUCIBUS

WatchPower, after it is normally closed, has the "habit" of keeping open the serial port used, preventing its use by other applications.
Actually it's just iconized and keeps working in background (although the quit X icon seems to indicate that the program is closed).

In order to use LUCIBUS and other programs that use the inverter's serial port, you need to open the notification bar, click the right mouse button on the watchpower icon

and then click on EXIT

Only in this way watchpower it is definitely closed and frees the serial port

4. I installed LUCIBUS without connecting it to the inverter. The program seems to start but does not provide me any information.

LUCIBUS, in order to function properly, needs to be connected to the inverter serial port.
Without this condition, which is ESSENTIAL AND NECESSARY, Lucibus will never provide any information related to the inverter and none of its features will work.
